About me:
I started cooking when I was 9 . My first meal I made was a Pot Roast in a pressure cooker !! After having watched my mum perfect her pot roast, I gave this my first try whilst mom and dad were out fishing... The only thing dad said was, wow, if that's starters, can I go for seconds? Needless to say, I haven't stopped experimenting on the stove...

Buttermilk Pancakes I

Reviewed on May 27, 2008 by Vimala Naidoo
OMG, I have had so many pancake disasters but this is a foolproof, quick recipe. I made them last Sunday for my four year old niece and she loved them. The only changes I made were the following: - Didn't have buttermilk so I substituted with 1 1/4 cup milk and just over 1 Tbsp vinegar - Added 1 tsp vanilla to the liquid mixture - Added 1/4 tsp salt to the dry mixture I made a big batch after work today which I'm going to freeze and just heat up in the toaster as needed. Thanks for a great recipe! :) Vim

The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed on Apr. 23, 2008 by PURPLEMOON
made this for dinner tonight and it was delish! I baked it in the oven at 180deg for 40min and the meatballs came out perfectly. I followed some other recommendations about adding crushed pineapple and added a nice flavour. Next time I'm going to add some dried chillies as well for a little kick. will definitely be making this again. thanks for the great recipe!

Apple Banana Cupcakes

Reviewed on Aug. 10, 2007 by PURPLEMOON
These are simply deliciously scrumptuous! I used tinned pie apples and chopped them up. Came out so nice and moist. DH & I polished them off with 2 days!
